Weekend.

Saturday at the Whitney! It's conveniently on 75th and Madison. And every time I walk by I think to myself that it has to be the ugliest building in New York City - gross concrete walls in a weird shape. But it houses some nice works!

Sunday brunch at my new favorite dive restaurant/bar, Duke's! This spread was only $10. What a NYC steal!

They also had a photobooth!
Linds, Liz, myself and Amy (unfortunately we couldn't fit Dani in too).

Dinner in Astoria with Amy at Got Empanadas, the most delicious place ever.

Monday afternoon view from the New York City Tax Commission!
Brooklyn Bridge.

And my new favorite building:
8 Spruce Street.

It is the tallest residential building in New York City (76 stories, 903 apartments) and the 8th tallest building in New York City (876 feet high). And it is beautiful! Mr. Gehry did a fabulous job designing it. You have to check out it's website, here

And guess who does 8 Spruce's property taxes!! That's right.

Besides the 903 apartments (studios start at $2630 a month), floors 1-5 house a K-8 public school, amenities include a "50-foot swimming pool, gigantic fitness center and spa, grilling terrace, game room, Drawing Room with grand piano, a chef’s demonstration and catering kitchen, library, "tweens den," children’s playroom, screening room with amphitheater-style seats) rounded out with comprehensive concierge and lifestyle services." Someday, someday.
