Wednesday afternoon, 1:00-2:00 pm, absolutely gorgeous out. Sunny and in the high 70's. This is the view from my lunch spot in Columbus Circle, across from the fountains. I can keep an eye on the Hearst Building from here.

I didn't take this picture (courtesy of wallyg on Flickr), but I wanted you to be able to see exactly where I sit. This is a view from inside the Shops at Columbus Circle, probably the third floor. In the upper left corner of the picture, in front of Central Park, is a grey stone monument (it's actually a fountain!) with the gold statue on top. I sit right at the base!
